Happy 4th of July!

On this day we celebrate our freedom and honor the service members who have made this freedom possible. We celebrate with fireworks, parades, and get-togethers. We eat yummy food and we proudly display our flag.

Another thing we do is... DECORATE.

Now, we don't go all out like we do for Christmas and decorate every room in the house. But, we do put up a few things to help us keep this tradition alive. 

The colors of the day are red, white, and blue, but they certainly aren't flat and predictable. They come in all different hues, patterns, and textures. Think of color washed reds and blues. OR regal shades like scarlet red and navy blue. OR gentle shades of white like warm white and antique white. It's also fun to see these colors in patterns with checks, stripes, florals, and weaves.
